Even tho it wasn’t the must exciting revelation of the serial killer to me, the whole process and travel to get to that point was INCREDIBLY INSANE. I was trapped since the beginning with a depression Gurney, like the author really thought well how his character would react to changes like this and idk, it was so believable, not saying that he was right or something, but it made sense on him this reactions and it was hard for a person who suppress his emotions that much. Love how his son was presented at the end of the first book but, while the story goes on, he appears more and more, and it was lovely to have him for that long in this book, he’s an amazing person, yes like his father, but with the best side of him, he was really lovely and I get to like him a lot! Also, the hard conversation that Madelein had with Gurney when certain scene happened… it really broke my heart, but she was right like always, was she too harsh?, maybe, but I guess was something that she needed him to know: realizing that he had no memory problem, but a “what he cares about” problem. Still loving their relation, how he can only be open with her and because of her, and how she was his only thought in his most crucial moment. Great ending, his endings had gave me peace after such a storm every time.
